Estimator, Manufacturing ​/ Production, Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Weston

Position Summary:

To undertake detailed manufacturing estimates to support responses to customer RFQs. Coordinate cross functional responses to develop accurate material and labour costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce clear and detailed estimates of manufacturing tasks and supplier material pricing. Produce outline manufacturing assumptions on minimal durations for manufacturing activities in support of programme plans. Attend bid and contract reviews. Attend appropriate gate reviews to ensure estimates are being adhered to and discussed accordingly. Assist (where appropriate) with ensuring design and manufacturing solutions are the most cost effective. Support Production and QA in resolving production issues and non-conformances.

Introduction of new tools, techniques and products at the estimating stage to aid efficiency.

Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain basic security clearance. Competent numeracy skills. Basic understanding of Technical Drawings/Models. Knowledge /

Skills:

Good knowledge of estimating techniques and processes. Computer literate on Microsoft Office and MRP. Experience in composite and polymer materials and manufacturing processes. A broad understanding of CNC, 3D Printing and Modern Production Techniques. Excellent communication skills.
