Kirkby, Merseyside (Recycling Yard) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Duty Plant Fitter to join a busy recycling and aggregates operation based in Kirkby. £24.00 £ 26.00 per hour Overtime rate: £32.00 per hour Monday to Friday: 07:00 17:00 Saturday: 07:00 12:00 (as required) Additional hours available for maintenance and emergency repairs 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy plant machinery (excavators, loading shovels, crushers, screeners, wash plant) Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime Monitoring and maintaining wash plant performance and output quality Completing accurate service and maintenance records Working closely with operators, fitters, and management teams Ensuring all work is carried out in line with strict health & safety standards Requirements:
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Previous experience with heavy plant machinery essential

Experience with aggregate wash plant equipment highly desirable Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, self-motivated, and safety conscious Basic computer literacy for reporting and records Flexible to work overtime and weekends when required Working Environment:
Outdoor yard and workshop-based role Physically demanding work in all weather conditions
