An opportunity has opened for a Workshop Supervisor to join a construction company based in Derby. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Works / Workshop / Factory supervisor or similar and will have a background working in structural steel, heavy engineering or an industrial environment.

Workshop Supervisor Key Skills:

• Experienced Works / Workshop / Factory Supervisor or Foreman
• Experience in the structural industry or similar like heavy engineering / industrial
• Excellent working knowledge of fabrication and CNC processes
• Leadership skills and a background supervising 20+ people
• Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings
• Understanding of production processes and workflow
• Excellent operational skills

Workshop Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a factory of around 40 people
• Ensuring processes are running smoothly over multiple departments
• Coordinate daily workflow to ensure targets are hit and schedules are met
• Overseeing the production flow from start to finish
• Liaising with the H&S Manager and Quality Manager
• Drive continuous improvement
• Act as the primary point of contact for operations along with the Works Manager
