THE ROLE
As a Panel / Painter / MET Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of vehicle repair tasks, from structural panel repairs and component removal to refinishing and final reassembly, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out panel repairs and replace damaged body panels where required
Strip and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components safely and efficiently
Prepare vehicles for painting and carry out paint application and finishing work
Complete polishing and quality finishing to achieve a manufacturer-standard repair
Diagnose and identify damaged components requiring repair or replacement
Work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure efficient repair progression
Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer repair methods and quality standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment while meeting agreed repair timescales
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a highly skilled, adaptable, and quality-focused technician who enjoys working across all aspects of the body repair process.
Previous experience within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
Proven experience in panel repairs, paint preparation/application, and MET strip and fit
Strong understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and manufacturer procedures
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy workshop
Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Full UK Driving Licence
ATA Accreditation advantageous but not essential
