Mill Operative Days

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mill Operative working for a well-established and prestigious company based in Shipdham, Norfolk. This is a full-time position, on an initially temporary basis with the view of going permanent after 12 weeks. The working hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 to 16:30. You will work a 50 hour week with 8 hours at basic and 2 hours a day at overtime rate.

With 2 x 30min breaks, one being paid (weekend working expected during busy periods). With the opportunity to earn extra money with added skills bonuses, as you develop within the organisation.

• Fork truck licence
• Flexibility & Adaptability, with a good working attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health, safety & environmental standards.
• Reliability & punctuality are key to the role being part of such a small team.
• Must have a forklift truck licence (ideally counterbalance)
• Applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

• Running packing line using automated and semi-automated machinery.
• Developing your skills into running of more complex tasks such as press operation, this will be discussed via a personal development plan. (Full training provided, skills payment once trained)
• Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system.
• Manual heavy lifting.
• Provide support and cover for all team members.
• Other labouring & housekeeping duties where required.
• Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
