We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to join the Commercial Department at our Llanybydder site. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in creating daily production plans, analysing raw material requirements, and ensuring we consistently deliver exceptional service to our valued customers.

Your Main Duties will include:

General Duties
- Maintain close communication with retail sites and the Group Planning Manager to understand and fulfil retail requirements.
- Achieve planning targets within set deadlines while upholding quality standards and cost control.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping and adherence to Quality, Health & Safety, and all company policies, collaborating with relevant departments to resolve any issues promptly and effectively
Production Planning Duties
- Produce accurate daily production plans using Excel and the internal Emydex system
- Maintain daily contact with retail sites and the Group Planning Manager to ensure optimal raw material stock levels.
- Input all planned sales volumes into the site’s production planner.
- Record and analyse daily KPI data, including yield performance and boning hall downtime.
- Monitor lamb origin requirements and coordinate with colleagues to secure specific origins when needed.
- Apply strong planning skills to implement processes, track progress, and drive efficiency.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Communicate regularly with the Boning Hall Manager and supervisors, reviewing KPI performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in system reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organisational strategy.
- Meet the specifications and timescales required by both internal and external customers.
- Support the Commercial Manager in producing the weekly group lamb plan, highlighting potential challenges and contributing to solutions.
- Play a key role in new product set-ups, attending meetings and updating planning systems for new SKUs.
- Maintain accurate historical planning data and produce relevant reports as required.
- Visit other Dunbia sites to provide support, share knowledge, and gain insight into wider group operations.
