Manufacturing Engineer

Based in Derby
We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading precision engineering business specialising in high-quality fabricated and machined components.
The Role
You'll play a key role in managing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting production, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing engineering projects from quotation through to production.
- Creating and maintaining BOMs, routings, works orders and manufacturing documentation.
- Producing quotations from customer drawings and specifications.
- Supporting New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI).
- Improving manufacturing methods, tooling, and production processes.
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and customers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of metal fabrication (essential).
- Experience with in precision manufacturing (aerospace or similar highly regulated industries would be advantageous).
- Good understanding of fabricated and machined components.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to read engineering drawings and work collaboratively across departments.
