Plant Manager – Site Director

Location: Kirkcaldy (commutable from Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Perth, Falkirk, Glasgow, Cumbernauld, Livingston)

Compensation: £105,000 – £115,000 + 10 % bonus + 8 % pension (total earnings typically £120,000+)

We are seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager or Site Director to lead a 60‑person, 24/7 manufacturing operation within a highly regulated, precision‑engineering environment. The role is part of a multinational business operating in medical device, chemical engineering, electronics and aerospace sectors.

• Full site accountability for production, engineering, supply chain, logistics, quality and health, safety & environment performance.
• Lead a complex, small‑batch, bespoke manufacturing operation that runs continuously.
• Maintain and enhance quality standards and regulatory compliance across the plant.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to increase efficiency.
• Manage and develop a diverse team of managers and supervisors.

• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership in highly regulated manufacturing (medical, chemical, electronics, aerospace, oil & gas, etc.).
• Experience with clean‑room environments is desirable.
• Proven track record of implementing Lean/continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• Must live within 1 hour of Kirkcaldy or the surrounding commuter region.
