CNC Machine Operator

Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours – An element of flexibility as to when hours are worked

We are now recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to set and operate our CNC 5 Axis machine, producing parts correct to drawing.

In addition to this as our CNC Turner you will be responsible for:

• Setting & operating 5‑axis CNC machines to produce high‑precision components according to engineering specifications.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Setting up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Monitoring and inspecting work pieces to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience operating / setting 5‑axis CNC machines – experience in CNC Turning is essential.
• 5 years’ experience of actual machining.

• IT literacy (Windows 7, MS Office).
• Experience in operating a 5 Axis machine.
• A strong understanding of CNC programs.
• Knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining techniques.
• The ability to perform precision measurements using callipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Fanuc based controls; DMG Mori Celos, Mazak Mazatrol.
• Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (TNC
  640).
