At CPRS Grimsby, we operate full-service vehicle body repair and paint centre. Our team manages a highly diverse and rewarding workload. While we maintain a steady, fast-paced stream of insurance, fleet, and retail accident repairs, we also specialise in classic and modern vehicle restorations, custom paintwork, and complete colour changes.
We are looking for a dual-skilled Panel Technician / Vehicle Spray Painter who can seamlessly transition between high-efficiency structural repairs and cosmetic finishes. Key Responsibilities- Body & Panel Repairs: Carry out structural and aesthetic body and panel damage repairs to the highest safety and manufacturer standards.
- Preparation & Masking: Ensure all vehicles are meticulously prepared, sanded, and masked prior to receiving paint.
- Paint Application & Colour Changes: Accurately mix paint and apply base coats, clear coats, and custom paint products. Work on standard refinishing projects as well as complete vehicle colour changes and bespoke restorations.
- Defect Rectification & Detailing: Polish and flat-sand panels to eliminate any paintwork defects, ensuring a showroom-standard finish.
- Safety & Processes: Comply fully with established workshop processes, quality controls, and COSHH / Health & Safety standards.

Collaboration:
Work productively both independently to meet repair targets and as part of a close-knit team to maintain efficient workshop flow.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented professional with a strong work ethic who thrives on a mix of standard repairs and custom project work.
Qualifications & Experience- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as both a Panel Technician / Vehicle Spray Painter in a professional workshop, Accident Repair Centre (ARC), or specialist restoration environment.
- Credentials: An industry‑recognised qualification (Level 3 preferred, Level 2 considered), such as IMI, City & Guilds, or ATA.
- Welding
Skills:
Practical experience with vehicle welding is a highly valued advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to flawless paint finishes.
- Adaptability to work on a wide variety of vehicles, from everyday commuters to classic restoration projects.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a busy workshop.
- A cooperative team‑player mentality.
