Control Panel Builder – Cookstown Description:

We are hiring for our client, a well-established engineering business based in Cookstown, seeking an experienced Control Panel Builder to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of industrial and heavy engineering projects across sectors including material handling, quarrying, and manufacturing. The successful Control Panel Builder will join a busy, supportive team with strong long-term career prospects and plenty of overtime available.

• £16–£19 per hour + overtime at enhanced rates
• Stable, long-term workshop-based role in Cookstown
• Varied industrial projects within heavy engineering environments

As a Control Panel Builder, you will:

• Build and wire electrical control panels from technical drawings
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings
• Carry out electrical testing and quality checks on completed panels
• Assist with panel modifications and fault finding when required
• Work closely with engineers and production teams to meet project deadlines
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety within the workshop

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Previous experience in panel building or electrical assembly
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience with in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments desirable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
