7604 This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Industrial Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator to join a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation, fulfilling manufacturing orders for metal mesh-based and other knitted products. The Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator is required to cover the evening shift (from 4pm) for a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation, for an initial 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential for a permanent contract from 2027.

The Role The Industrial Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator will be responsible for machine set-up, operations and monitoring across the evening shift, for the production of metal mesh-based and other knitted products. You will perform routine machine adjustments, troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical/operational issues, and will accurately record production data and maintenance activities. Benefits:

Previous experience operating industrial knitting equipment in a production environment. Demonstrated experience performing machine maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting. Ability to identify equipment issues and take corrective action with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Any experience with STOLL and/or Shima machines would be looked upon favourably.
