CNC Machinist | Mere | Up to £41,000

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking to bring your programming, setting and operating expertise to a business producing precision components across a range of industries? Technic Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team in Mere, working across CNC lathes and mills to produce accurate, high quality components to tight tolerances.

• Salary of up to £41,000

• Early finish on Fridays (07:30 to 12:30), with overtime available at 1.33x Monday to Thursday and 1.5x from Friday afternoon and Saturdays
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown (24th December to 2nd January)

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and mills using Fanuc controls to produce precision components
• Planning the production method, creating programmes and identifying tooling or fixture requirements
• Making offsets or minor changes to programmes to keep components within drawing limits and customer requirements
• Jig and fixture making
• Working to tight tolerances and checking your own work during production batch runs
• Adhering to production schedules and company quality procedures as per the AS9100 quality manual
• Programming and setting machines within allocated times, optimising cycle times and improving run rates where possible
• Operating basic manual machines when required

• A minimum of 3 years' CNC machining experience
• Fully skilled engineer with the ability to programme, set and operate CNC equipment
• CAD/CAM programming experience desirable
• Fanuc experience desirable
  
  Aerospace sector experience an advantage but not essential
• A good understanding of engineering drawings
• Experience machining a variety of metals
