Process Technician, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Process Operator, Production Operative

Swansea | £33,435 rising to £36,221 plus £5,391 shift allowance & annual bonus | Full-Time | 4 On, 6 Off Shift Pattern | Ongoing

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Process Technician to join the team at The Mond Nickel Refinery in Swansea, one of the world's leading nickel refineries owned and operated by Vale Europe.

Key Duties
  • Operate and monitor process plant and production equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and product quality.
  • Carry out basic maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
  • Operate FLT and other plant machinery where required.
  • Respond to operational issues using initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Provide flexibility to cover overtime and call‑outs when required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, process, or industrial environment.
  • Experience working with powdered metals is desirable.
  • Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Mechanically minded with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Committed to maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
  • Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Experience of 5S or continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
  • FLT licence or previous forklift experience would be advantageous.
