Production Operative Grade 3 (Day Shift)

Location: Toome

Hours: 40hrs per week (Monday to Thursday 6.00am - 4.00pm)

Reports to: Maintenance and Masa Supervisor

• £14.25 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 40hrs

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery

Key Responsibilities

The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not in any order; therefore, the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.

• Gain operational knowledge and be proficient in operation of the wet side area.
  
  This includes understanding all relevant systems, controls, and procedures associated with the wet side area to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve wet side operations and support troubleshooting efforts when required.
• Carry outmouldchanges on brick and paving production equipment in accordance with company procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed andminimisingdowntime. Accurately set up, secure, and alignmouldsto guarantee product quality and consistency. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve any issues duringmouldchangeover, and ensure tools and parts are cleaned and stored properly after each change.
• Address faults as they arise, escalated significant issues to the appropriate personnel, and follow all safety and environmental protocols associated with plant operations.
• Perform regular cleaning of equipment and machinery tomaintainoptimalperformance and prevent build-up of dust, debris, or product residue.
• Operate forklifts as required, provided the appropriate licenseis held.
• Ensure that workplace cleanliness ismaintainedandadherestrictly to all health and safety protocols. Take personal responsibility for your own well-being and promptly report any concerns as required by company policy.
• Proactivelyseekand suggest ideas for improvement—whether related to health and safety, business processes, or cost-saving measures—and report them as a ‘Good Catch’.
• Any other duties as required by management that are within your capability. (You will alsobe required to perform Grade 1 and 2 tasks, such as quality control, strapping, and wrapping, operation of KBH machine and dry side,whenever needed).
