MIG Welder

Sign-On Bonus $2000 - Pays out as follows: 60 Days - $500. 6 Months - $500. 1 Year - $1000. Starting pay rate is dependent on skill level, which is determined by the weld test.

Must Have Minimum 4 Years MIG Welding Experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Build Subassemblies for compactors and/or balers utilizing existing fixtures.
• Weld to acceptable quality expectations on all weld positions (flat, down, over).
• Assemble and weld sides, floors, and dog boxes on compactors.
• Assemble and weld sides, floors, tops, doors, and wire gates on balers.
• Ability to meet production standards.
• Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as needed.
• Maintain good safety record.
• Maintain positive attitude.
• Positions parts together by means of clamps, tack welds, and along layout marks.
• Part positioning may occur at floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder levels.

• Experienced MIG welder.
• Can read basic blueprints or drawings.
• Ability to use tape measure.
• Ability to do basic math and tape measure reading.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
• Stand, walk, and talk, or hear.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
