Electrical Assembly Operative

Location: Catfield (Driver required due to location)
Pay: £12.72 per hour
Hours: Monday Thursday 8:00am 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am 3:30pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Are you looking for a temp to perm role within a marine manufacturing environment? Our client in Great Yarmouth is looking for an Electrical Assembly Operative to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with assembly, production or electrical experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical and mechanical units and components to required specifications.
  • Read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Complete basic electrical wiring, cable routing, terminations and connections.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools and assembly equipment.
  • Carry out visual inspections and functional checks to ensure quality.
  • Identify and report defects, quality issues and potential improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or production is preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical assembly, wiring and electrical safety.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing production requirements.
