Shift Manager
Initial FTC until the end of 2026
Hellaby (Home of KP Nuts)
Shift pattern:
44 weeks per year on a three-shift rotation (Days, Afters and Nights, 8-hour shifts)
Peak season (mid October to mid December): 24/7 shift pattern working a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off rotation across Days and Nights (12-hour shifts)

About the role
We're looking for a Shift Manager to lead our production operation and deliver safe, efficient and high-quality performance across their shift. You'll be accountable for people, plant, product and process performance, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and hygiene.
Acting as the first point of contact across the Site during your shift, you'll lead and develop colleagues, drive continuous improvement activities and minimise downtime through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis. Working within our Intersnack Working System (IWS) framework, you'll use lean manufacturing tools and Daily Management Systems to eliminate waste, improve performance and support operational excellence.

What will you be doing?
Leading shift operations Taking overall responsibility for production performance, ensuring delivery of safety, quality, hygiene, service, waste and attendance KPIs while maintaining conformance to plan
Developing and coaching colleagues Supporting Team Members, Advanced Team Members and Engineering colleagues through coaching, training and performance management, helping teams build capability and achieve operational excellence
Driving continuous improvement Using Lean Manufacturing, IWS, Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement tools to identify losses, eliminate waste, reduce downtime and improve operational performance
Leading operational decision making Acting as the key decision maker outside standard working hours, prioritising planned and reactive activities and ensuring resources are effectively deployed to meet business needs
Maintaining compliance and site standards Ensuring all colleagues and contractors follow company procedures while supporting internal audits, food safety standards, certification requirements and health and safety compliance

Operations leadership experience
Experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop colleagues to deliver strong operational performance
Continuous improvement and problem-solving expertise
Experience applying Lean Manufacturing tools and structured problem-solving techniques to reduce losses, eliminate waste and improve efficiency
Strong technical capability
