Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £45 - £55k DOE

An established and expanding precision engineering company is seeking an experienced and motivated CAD/CAM Programmer, Setter & Operator to join its skilled manufacturing team.

The Role

• Programming 5-axis CNC machines using hyperMILL CAD/CAM software
• Setting and operating CNC machinery
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
• Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing process improvements
• Optimising machining processes and cycle times
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a CAD/CAM programming role
• Strong CNC setting and operating experience
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
