Job Summary
To prepare parts for shipment as per order book/customer requirements.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities- Always maintain and practice a high standard of Health and Safety adopting FSG Standards.
- Ensure departmental housekeeping is maintained to a high standard and the 5s philosophy is driven.
- Methodically work with a safe and conscientious approach, protecting yourself and others within the facility to ensure that your job requirements are met in an efficient and timely manner.
- Retrieve packing information from Despatch Office.
- Find correct parts for packing by matching up with packing information.
- Lay parts out on table ready for checking.
- Cross reference parts with TD4 document for instructions of how to pack parts e.g. box sizes, quantities and what packaging to use inside the box.
- Check material of parts against the route using a Niton gun.
- All information marked on the parts is to be checked and verified to ensure information is correct, e.g. part number, quantity, serial numbers etc.
- Pack parts as per TD4 to make sure they will not be damaged in transit.
- Weigh box and complete paperwork and then pass all information to despatch to arrange transport.
- Cross-train in other roles within Despatch and Inspection.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Check sufficient paperwork matches and is at hand before starting to mark pieces.
- Check part number, work order, qty etc matches the parts.
- Locate drawing for part on Q-pulse to determine the correct marking location.
- Generate and print the serial numbers required using Tropos.
- Select correct part marking program or alter / set up new program if required.
- Print labels off and ensure all the correct information is on the labels and matches the route pack.
- Moving parts onto next operation of the route when marked up using FLT.
- Cross-train in other roles within Despatch and Inspection.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Desirable: FLT Licence, Crane Licence.
