Production Operative

Location: Pilton

Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking production operatives to join their team on the workshop floor.

Production Operative
Pay:  £13.50 per hour
Job Type: Full Time;
Temporary Ongoing

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm;
Friday 7:30am - 2pm

Location:

Holsworthy
 
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
 
Assemble sheet metal components
Knock off/shake off edges and machined (bent, cut or pressed
Load materials into the machine and adjust to ensure accurate cutting and forming
Monitor the machine during operation to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments
Lift, move and carry safely large and heavy pieces of metal
May be trained to operate a punch or press machines to cut, shape, and form metal
Adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations  Requirements of the Production Operative:
 
Experience in a factory environment (metal works experience is advantageous
Performing quality checks on finished products
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Flexibility is essential
Able to carry and move heavy parts (up to 25 kg)
