Location: Lark Hill

Masstemps are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG andTIG Welder / Fabricator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Kidderminster.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled welder/fabricator who is confident working with aluminium and TIG welding and is able to produce high-quality work from drawings and specifications.

You will be involved in the fabrication and welding of a range of metal components and assemblies, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • MIG or TIG weld steel and aluminium components and assemblies to a high standard.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components accurately.
  • Measure, mark out, cut and prepare materials prior to welding.
  • Carry out welding, grinding, finishing and general fabrication duties.
  • Ensure welds and finished products meet required quality standards.
  • Inspect your own work and identify any defects or areas requiring adjustment.
  • Use a range of hand and workshop tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Work to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Follow company health & safety procedures and safe working practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in MIG orTIG welding aluminium.
  • Previous experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Good fabrication and metalworking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
  • The ability to work accurately and independently.
  • A reliable and hardworking approach.
  • Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and meet production deadlines.
Working Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Pay

Up to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
