Workchain is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business renowned for producing high-quality products for a global customer base. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to add a motivated and reliable Sub-Assembly Operative to their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, assembly, or workshop experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality components.

The Role
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and inspection of sub-assemblies, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
You will play an important role in supporting the wider manufacturing operation and helping deliver products to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Assemble and build sub-assemblies to required specifications.
 
* Carry out testing and inspection activities to ensure product quality.
 
* Follow production schedules and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
 
* Adhere to company workmanship and quality standards.
 
* Read and follow work instructions, procedures, and drawings where required.
 
* Support other areas of the manufacturing process when needed.
 
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
 
* Ensure tools, equipment, and PPE are kept in good condition.
 
* Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
 
* Assist with additional duties as directed by management.
What We're Looking For
 
* Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly, production, or workshop environment.
 
* Good understanding of hand tools and workshop equipment.
 
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
 
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
 
* Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
 
* Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
 
* Good communication skills.
 
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills
 
* Experience assembling mechanical or technical components.
 
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
 
* Experience working to manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
