Formulation Technician
Manpower is currently recruiting for a Senior Formulation Technician to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Swindon. Shift PatternThis role operates on a 24/7 shift rotation consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts (07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00).
The pattern consists of:
- Week 1:
Wednesday & Thursday - Week 2:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
The cycle then repeats.
The RoleAs a Senior Formulation Technician, you will be responsible for the formulation and manufacture of pharmaceutical products, ensuring all activities are completed in line with GMP standards, SOPs and batch manufacturing instructions.
Key duties include:
- Operating bulk manufacturing and compounding equipment.
- Preparing and setting up equipment for production, including CIP, SIP, filter integrity testing and pressure testing.
- Performing pharmaceutical formulation activities in line with manufacturing records.
- Completing batch documentation accurately and in compliance with cGMP standards.
- Operating cleanroom equipment, airlocks and autoclaves.
- Carrying out cleaning and sterilisation activities to pharmaceutical industry standards.
- Monitoring equipment performance and reporting faults or issues.
- Supporting validation projects and new product introductions.
- Assisting with basic equipment maintenance where required.
- Ensuring any non-conformances are escalated and investigated appropriately.
- GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent numeracy skills.
- GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent literacy skills.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience with in pharmaceutical, healthcare, GMP or cleanroom environments.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Methodical and organised approach to work.
- Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
- Strong quality mindset with patient safety at the forefront.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Physically fit and capable of working within a manufacturing environment.
- £14.55 per hour.
- 40% shift allowance.
