Poultry Cutter

Location: Claydon

Tennial Personnel are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Poultry Cutter to join our client’s team at a poultry factory based in Claydon on an ongoing temporary basis. The role will involve cutting and preparing chicken products within a busy poultry processing environment, ensuring all products are handled efficiently and meet the required quality and hygiene standards.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a chilled production environment and carrying out repetitive, hands-on tasks throughout the shift. This is a physically demanding position requiring good manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to work vious experience in poultry processing, food production, butchery or meat cutting would be advantageous, although candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will also be considered.

The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety. This is an ongoing temporary position working Monday to Friday, with hours of 9:30 AM until finish on Mondays and 7:15 AM until finish from Tuesday to Friday. All shifts will finish no later than 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Cutting and preparing chicken products in accordance with production requirements and company standards.

Using knives and cutting equipment safely and effectively, following all relevant training and procedures.

Ensuring chicken products meet required quality and hygiene standards.

Working efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety.

Following procedures relating to food safety and the handling of raw poultry.

Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.

Maintaining a clean and organised workstation.

Identifying and reporting product quality issues, equipment faults or health and safety concerns.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.

Carrying out repetitive manual tasks and standing for extended periods.

Supporting the wider production team with additional duties as required.

Qualifications Required
No formal qualifications are essential for this role.

Previous experience in poultry processing, meat cutting, butchery or food manufacturing would be advantageous.

Experience using knives or cutting equipment in a production environment would be beneficial.

Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety procedures would be an advantage.

Full training will be provided where required, including relevant health and safety and hygiene procedures.
