Global Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing client based in Govan, Glasgow, for an experienced Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator to join an established manufacturing team, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

* Payment Options: CIS / Umbrella

Temp-to-Perm

* Working Hours:

* Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:45pm

* Friday: 8:00am–3:00pm

Key Responsibilities

* Operate sheet metal guillotines, including Amada machinery, to produce accurate cuts.

* Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.

* Cut and process sheet metal as part of the manufacturing operation.

* Work with a variety of materials, including aluminium, pre-coated sheet metal and stainless steel.

* Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment safely and effectively.

* Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and workmanship.

* Follow company procedures, health and safety guidelines and established manufacturing processes.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines.
Skills & Experience Required

* Previous experience operating sheet metal guillotines is essential.

* Experience using Amada guillotines would be advantageous.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.

* Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel and pre-coated sheet metal.

* Competent in using precision measuring equipment.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.

* Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

* Comfortable handling and manoeuvring large sheets of metal.

* Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
