Press Brake Operator​/Setter

Position: Press Brake Operator/ Setter
Location: Curborough

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our Lichfield client who are seeking a Press Brake Operator to start immediately.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm.

Duties and tasks will include:

Set and operate Amada Press Brake machines.
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Select and set the correct tooling for each job.
Carry out bending and forming operations to required specifications and tolerances.
Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.
Make adjustments to machine settings where required to maintain quality.
Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements.
Work efficiently to production schedules and priorities.
Identify and report any quality or production issues.
Carry out basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe working area.
Follow all company health & safety and security procedures.
Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

Previous experience operating and setting Press Brake machines.
Experience using Amada Press Brakes.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and component specifications.
Ability to work accurately and independently.
Good attention to detail.
Strong awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment.
British citizenship, due to MOD contractual/security requirements associated with the role.
