About the role
Rhinox Group is looking for an experienced, commercially focused Paid Media Specialist to take ownership of paid advertising activity across our UK and US businesses.
This is a hands-on performance marketing role with responsibility for significant paid media investment across multiple platforms and two distinct markets.
The role goes considerably further than simply maintaining campaigns. We are looking for someone who can understand the commercial objective behind our advertising, identify opportunities, control spend, challenge performance, test new approaches and clearly explain what is happening within the accounts and why.
The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Paid Social, while helping Rhinox continue to test and develop additional advertising channels as the market evolves.
Rhinox operates within the construction equipment industry, with a strong ecommerce business alongside dealer, fleet and wider B2B customer activity. The role therefore requires someone who is comfortable working with technical products, large product catalogues and purchase journeys that can vary considerably by customer and product type.
Key responsibilities Paid media strategy and ownership- Own day-to-day paid media activity across the Rhinox UK and US businesses.
- Develop channel and campaign strategies aligned with revenue targets, product priorities and wider marketing plans.
- Manage and allocate advertising budgets across platforms, markets, campaigns and product groups.
- Monitor budget pacing and proactively move investment towards areas delivering profitable growth.
- Identify where additional investment can be scaled profitably rather than working to arbitrary platform budgets.
- Understand the differences between the UK and US markets and manage them as separate commercial environments.
- Support annual and longer-term paid media budgeting and forecasting.
Take primary ownership of Google Ads, including:
- Search campaigns.
- Shopping campaigns.
- Performance Max.
- Brand and non-brand activity.
- Product and category-specific campaigns.
- Remarketing and audience activity.
- Campaign experiments and emerging Google advertising products.
- Search term and keyword management.
- Negative keyword strategy.
- Bid and budget optimisation.
- Audience, geographic, device and scheduling analysis.
- Landing-page and conversion-performance analysis.
The successful candidate should be comfortable managing complex ecommerce accounts rather than relying solely on automated platform recommendations.
Microsoft AdvertisingManage and develop Microsoft Advertising across the UK and US, including:
- Search.
- Shopping.
- Performance Max and automated campaign formats where appropriate.
- Product feed activity.
- Budget and bidding optimisation.
- Search-term and audience analysis.
- Campaign testing.
- Identifying areas where Microsoft can provide incremental and cost-efficient demand.
Microsoft Ads should be treated as an active performance channel rather than simply a copy of the Google account.
Paid SocialOwn paid social advertising, including Meta and the continued development of additional channels.
Responsibilities will include:
- Meta campaign planning and optimisation.
- Prospecting and remarketing.
- Audience testing.
- Creative testing.
- Product and campaign launches.
- Working with the Content and Design teams to develop advertising creative.
- Reviewing creative performance and feeding learnings back into future asset briefs.
- Developing and testing platforms such as Linked In and Tik Tok where there is a clear commercial case.
- Exploring emerging advertising opportunities and new formats without distracting investment from proven channels.
We want someone who is willing to experiment, but who understands the difference between useful testing and simply spending money on the latest platform.
Ecommerce and product feed managementProduct data and feed quality are an important part of our advertising operation.
The Paid Media Manager will:
- Work with Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Advertising and other relevant commerce/feed platforms.
- Monitor feed health, product eligibility, warnings and disapprovals.
- Understand Shopify product and variant structures.
- Review titles, product types, categories, identifiers, custom labels and other advertising attributes.
- Work with internal ecommerce and development teams to resolve feed or catalogue issues.
- Understand how product-level and variant-level data affects Shopping advertising.
- Help develop feed rules and segmentation that improve campaign structure and performance.
- Work with internal systems and external feed-management partners where required.
The successful candidate does not need to be a developer, but must be technically confident enough to identify when the underlying product data or tracking is causing an advertising problem.
Measurement, tracking and attributionRhinox is continuing to develop its first-party measurement and server-side tracking capability.
