Climate Change and Carbon Reduction Officer

As a Climate Change and Carbon Reduction Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Council's climate change, carbon reduction and sustainability ambitions. Working as part of the Carbon Reduction Team, you will help develop and implement initiatives that reduce carbon emissions, improve environmental performance and support sustainable communities across Wrexham County Borough., As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, the council ensures accessible recruitment and support for disabled employees including offering a guaranteed interview (where essential person specification items are met).

You will be a confident communicator who can engage, influence and inspire a wide range of stakeholders, helping to embed sustainability and climate action across the organisation and beyond.
• You will have experience of developing productive working relationships, engaging communities and stakeholders, and securing support for new initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision, overcome challenges, and deliver measurable outcomes that contribute to organisational goals. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and passionate about addressing the climate crisis.
