About the Role

Comrie already benefits from people who give their time, skills and energy generously. We want to match that commitment with excellent volunteer support: a warm welcome, thoughtful organisation, clear communication and recognition of the difference people make.

Working across Comrie and District, including Cultybraggan Camp, you will help existing volunteers thrive and welcome new participants, particularly younger villagers. You will connect community priorities with people’s interests and talents and help remove barriers to taking part.

Your work will help deliver agreed Strengthening Communities Programme priorities: community involvement in heritage-led regeneration, support for consultation and facilitation, crowdfunding and fundraising, and volunteer teams for income-generating activities. Begin with existing volunteers and one agreed priority project, expanding only as capacity allows.

What you’ll do

Recognise, record and acknowledge the contribution of existing volunteers, using proportionate records that help us understand and celebrate their work.
Welcome and match volunteers to worthwhile opportunities; organise induction and ongoing support, working with named activity leaders.
Encourage younger villagers to participate and address practical barriers such as timing, access, transport, confidence and digital exclusion.
Build genuine community involvement in shaping and delivering heritage-led regeneration guided by the Cultybraggan Camp Heritage Conservation Framework; record participation and feedback to support project development and funding proposals.
Recruit and support volunteers for agreed community engagement, fundraising and income-generating activities, with named activity leaders and clear tasks. Gather evidence of what participation helps achieve.

You will be part of a small team alongside heritage and business development colleagues. You lead volunteer support and matching within 14 hours each week; named activity leaders provide day-to-day supervision. Activities, travel and handovers must fit within those hours, with priorities adjusted during busy weeks.

About you

You will be approachable, organised and good at bringing people together, with the ability to listen, build trust and follow through. Relevant paid, voluntary and community experience counts. You will help CDT match its volunteers’ passion, enthusiasm and energy with thoughtful, dependable support.
