We are delighted to offer exciting opportunities for due to qualify, newly qualified or experienced NMC registered nurses to join our Trust, in medicine patient facing care.
We have permanent full time and part time vacancies across the following ward areas:
- New Forrest
- Simpson
- Cheetham Hill
- Midgley

Main duties of the jobWe care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, providing excellent opportunities to develop strong clinical skills, broaden your knowledge, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Your main duties include, although are not limited to:
- Assessing patients and monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition
- Administering medications and treatments including IVs, injections, wound care
- Developing and updating care plans based on patient needs and doctor orders
- Collaborating with healthcare teams such as allied health and medical professionals, nursing workforce and administration teams.
- Operating medical equipment and responding to emergencies when needed
- Educating patients and families, including explaining conditions, medications, and home care
- Keeping accurate medical records and reports up to date
- Advocating for patients considering their safety, comfort and appropriate care or reasonable adjustments

Ward areas at a glance- New Forrest – Provides specialist care in Diabetes and Endocrinology alongside acute general medicine, supporting patients with a wide range of medical needs, including complex mental and social health conditions.
- Simpson – Delivers care for older patients, including acute medical conditions, with a strong focus on dementia care and the assessment and management of complex behaviours.
- Cheetham Hill – An older persons care ward supporting patients living with dementia, as well as those with a broad range of acute medical conditions, managing challenging and complex behaviours through a holistic approach to care.
- Midgley – An acute medical ward with a respiratory specialty, caring for patients who are acutely unwell and have complex health needs.

Job responsibilitiesWe are seeking motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic nurses who can work a range of shifts across our 24‑hour, 7‑day service. Full details of the role responsibilities and eligibility criteria can be found in the combined job description and person specification attached to this advert.

While we will take preferences into consideration, we cannot guarantee placement in a specific ward; however, successful candidates will be appointed to one of the identified medicine areas listed in the vacancy advert.

Qualifications- Registered Nurse (or due to qualify final year) with NMC
