Current student nurses who are due to complete their adult nursing degree in Summer 2026.

Start your career with us as a Newly Qualified Nurse in our Oncology and Haematology Team and our Weybourne Unit.

Please apply if you are completing your adult nursing degree this summer and can start work either as pre‑PIN or as an RN (if receiving your NMC PIN after June 2026).

We offer a 23‑month fixed‑term role in our Oncology Mulbarton Ward and a permanent role in our Weybourne Unit – please state your preference in your personal statement.

About Weybourne Unit

The Weybourne Day Unit provides a nurse‑led Oncology and Haematology service. Chemotherapy nurses administer outpatient chemotherapy regimens, with support from oncology and haematology consultants and a team of specially trained chemotherapy doctors.

About Mulbarton Ward

Mulbarton Ward is a 34‑bed ward caring for cancer patients. We provide chemotherapy, stem‑cell transplants, iodine therapy and support for side effects. We also care for patients at end of life and provide palliative care.

Working with all members of the multidisciplinary team, you will maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside care to a cohort of patients.
  • Collaborate with the management team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Follow the preceptorship programme and participate in teaching and coaching sessions.
Qualifications
  • Current student nursing degree with completion date in Summer 2026.
  • Eligibility to register as a nurse with the NMC (PIN to be obtained after June 2026 if required).
  • Completion of the preceptorship programme upon starting.

Our hospital site is located just outside of Norwich, with easy access to the River Yare, UEA Broad and the surrounding countryside.
