About the DepartmentNorfolk and Norwich University Hospital is gearing up to welcome the next cohort of student nurses. We are proud to offer all newly qualified MSc and BSc students a robust preceptorship programme supported by an experienced Clinical Education team. As one of the UK’s largest teaching hospitals, NNUH is well equipped to support new nurses as they begin their career.
The Guist Ward is a 38‑betted ward that cares for patients with acute medical conditions, specialising in gastrointestinal disorders and diseases, including liver disease, bowel disorders, anorexia nervosa, medical detox from alcohol, and various enteral feeding requirements. We work closely with specialist nursing teams such as Nutrition Support, Substance Misuse, Liver, IBD and Mental Health, and provide specialist medical care for eating disorders.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within a multidisciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
QualificationsCompletion of an adult nursing degree (BSc or MSc) with an expected graduation in Summer 2026. Ability to start work as pre‑PIN or as an RN once the NMC PIN is received.
