Community Staff Nurse - Lunesdale District Nurses

Position Overview

The Lunesdale District Nurses is recruiting for a permanent staff nurse post of 22.5 hours per week.

• Work flexibly over 7 days, including weekends and evening shifts.
• Provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.
• Undertake complex nursing assessments and develop and deliver programmes of care for patients and carers.
• Collaborate with health and social care colleagues, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care in patients’ homes and the community setting.
• Support the 24‑hour district nursing service as required to ensure service delivery.

• Applications from student nurses who are due to qualify and newly qualified staff nurses are welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• A full UK driving licence is required to carry out this role.
• Experience working in community nursing or a similar setting is preferred.
