We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the nursing department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:- Provide hands‑on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
- Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
- Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
- Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
- Promote compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, safeguarding, and other clinical governance priorities.
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant speciality.
- Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
- Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and coordination skills.
