Senior Primary Care Registered Nurse, FV Prisons

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a primary care senior registered nurse in one of our Forth Valley Prisons, primarily based at HMP Polmont. The role involves delivering trauma‑informed, person‑centred and safe care within a multidisciplinary integrated team.

• Deliver high‑quality primary care and treatment to a complex and vulnerable population.
• Work in partnership with the Shared Primary Services (SPS) and wider agencies to provide holistic health care.
• Operate autonomously with a high level of clinical decision‑making, supporting the development of a modern and innovative health care service.
• Rotate and travel across sites within the area of service delivery.
• Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and meet its requirements.

• First‑level registered nurse with senior experience in a primary care setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong clinical decision‑making ability and the capacity to work independently.
• Ambitious, committed, and motivated to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and rotate across different sites.
