Registered Nurse - Nights

Alne, near York

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour

Hours:

Approximately 40 hours per week

Predominantly nights

Contract:

Full-time, permanent

Registration: RGN, RMN or RNLD

As the Registered Nurse on shift, you will provide safe, compassionate and person‑centred clinical care while supporting and guiding the wider care team.

• Assessing, planning and reviewing residents compassionate and person‑centred clinical nursing needs
• Creating and maintaining individualised care plans
• Administering medication safely and accurately
• Monitoring residents and responding to changes in their health
• Providing complex and specialist nursing support
• Leading and supporting care staff during night shifts
• Completing accurate clinical records and documentation
• Delivering clear and effective handovers
• Liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and clinical governance
• Responding appropriately to emergencies and deteriorating health

• Valid UK NMC registration
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
• A compassionate and person‑centred approach
• Confidence leading a team during night shifts

• The ability to remain calm and professional in complex situations
• A commitment to delivering safe and respectful care

Experience with in complex nursing, neurological conditions, physical disabilities, PEG care, tracheostomy care or end‑of‑life care would be beneficial, although nurses from other relevant backgrounds will also be considered.
