Tractor Gang Mower Driver

£13.50 per hour

3-month temporary to permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Tractor Gang Mower Driver to support grounds maintenance operations across a large, well-maintained site in the Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid machinery experience looking for a temp-to-perm role.

The Role

You will be responsible for operating tractor-mounted gang mowers to maintain extensive grassed areas to a high standard, while supporting the wider grounds team when required.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating tractor-mounted gang mowers safely and efficiently

* Cutting large grassed and open turf areas to specification

* Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting defects

* Carrying out basic machine care (cleaning, lubrication, blade checks)

* Following set mowing schedules and work plans

* Safely manoeuvring machinery across site

* Assisting with general grounds maintenance duties as required

* Adhering to all health & safety and PPE requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

* Proven experience operating tractor-mounted gang mowers

* Good understanding of grounds maintenance operations

* Ability to work independently and manage workloads

* Full UK driving licence

* Machinery certification (or willingness to undertake training)

Desirable

* PA1 / PA6 spraying certifications

* Experience with in parks, estates, sports turf or local authority environments
