Hours:

Monday to Friday, 07:30am start, 37 hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a council run grounds maintenance team based in Hockley Wood. This is a hands on outdoor role working as part of a team to maintain public spaces to a high standard.

If you enjoy practical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in well kept green spaces, this could be a great fit.

• Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride on mowers
• Strimming and hedge cutting
• Leaf clearance and litter picking
• Basic planting and general gardening duties
• Using hand tools and poweredli>
• Supporting the wider team with general grounds upkeep

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping is desirable
• Experience using mowers, strimmers or hedge cutters would be beneficial
• A reliable and punctual approach
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• A team player with a good work ethic
• Full UK driving licence is helpful but not essential

This position could suit someone who has worked as a grounds maintenance operative, gardener, landscape labourer, park keeper, green space operative or horticultural assistant.

It may also appeal to those with transferable experience such as a labourer, caretaker, estate operative, street scene worker or maintenance assistant who enjoys outdoor work and practical tasks.
