Custody Nurse or Paramedic

• Provide healthcare to detainees in custody suites, working in collaboration with the Police.
• Deliver high‑quality care in a fast‑paced environment, managing diverse clinical situations.
• Work across an assigned region within Police Custody Suites and Force area as required.
• Maintain safety of detainees with round‑the‑clock coverage, following a schedule agreed with the client.

• RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration) with a minimum of two years post‑qualification; or Paramedic with 2 years post‑qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant clinical setting (e.g. Accident & Emergency, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service).
• Valid driving licence.
• RTW, British passport or ILR for 3 years, with no gaps abroad longer than 3 months.
• All candidates subject to Police Vetting.

• Salary £41,000 per year.
• £1,000 bonus after 12 months of service.
• Average estimated overtime £3,500 per annum.
• NMC/HCPC registration paid.
• Full time position with fixed shift rota (4 shifts on, 4 days off; 06:45‑19:00 two‑day shifts, 18:45‑07:00 two‑night shifts). Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
