Temporary Vineyard Workers - Vine Tucking (Shoot Tucking/Shoot Positioning)
Location:
Alfriston, East Sussex
We are looking for 15 temporary vineyard workers to assist with tucking vines into the wires at a busy vineyard near Eastbourne, East Sussex.
The Role:
- Tucking growing vines into supporting wires
- Lifting and separating growing vine shoots
- Tuck the shoots between pairs of trellis wires called catch wires to keep the canopy upright.
- Prevent shoots from flopping over, improve airflow and sunlight , to make spraying and harvesting easier.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Following instructions from the vineyard team
- Helping maintain the vineyard during the growing season
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable carrying out physical outdoor work
- Able to work as part of a team
- Own transport is preferred due to the rural location and it not being accessible via public transport
Duration: approx. 1 week - starting Monday 13th July 2026
