Our purpose-built hospital in Brighton has a wide range of high-tech equipment and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. We have dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards, with a fantastic nurse and support team to work alongside.
Our team includes multiple certificate holders with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise, including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics. We run a full out-of-hours team alongside our day team at the hospital.
We are committed to the continued development of our team members, with excellent opportunities for learning through dedicated in-house and external CPD.
The RoleThe caseload is varied, with both emergency and advanced medical cases referred to us from our five branch practices and local practices that we support.
- 40 hours per week over 4 days
- 1:8 full weekends, with a day back in lieu the following week
- 1:14 weeks of 2nd on-call
- Dedicated in-house out-of-hours team for seamless handovers
We are looking for someone who:
- Is confident managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases
- Has excellent nursing and communication skills and is keen to help drive clinical standards while supporting the team
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and delivering outstanding patient and client care
- Demonstrates strong organisational and multitasking skills, remains calm under pressure, and can prioritise effectively in a busy hospital environment
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is committed to ongoing professional development
- 6 weeks' holiday per year, including Bank Holidays
