Join a Supportive Practice by the Coast
We’re looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly first‑opinion practice in the picturesque coastal town of Gourock. This position is an excellent opportunity for a confident, experienced GP vet who enjoys all aspects of first‑opinion practice, including routine consultations, surgery, and dentistry.
As a GP vet you will balance consulting and procedures, building strong client relationships while working with a varied clinical caseload. You will work with a loyal client base, investigate complex cases, and have opportunities to develop your interests in medicine, surgery, or other general practice areas.
Working Pattern & FlexibilityFull‑time position: 39 hours over a four‑day week (8:30 am‑6:30 pm) with a 1 in 4 Saturday morning (8:30 am‑12:30 pm). No out‑of‑hours commitments;
Vets Now Glasgow handles emergency and out‑of‑hours cover. Flexible or part‑time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
Our small, experienced team values collaboration, regular case discussions, and team meetings. Core clinical interests include a certificate holder in Small Animal Medicine. Nursing staff includes a certificate holder in Nutrition and a nurse pursuing an Anaesthesia Certificate.
