What You’ll DoThe role of a Craftsperson champions a broad forestry skillset in challenging environments and embraces the outdoor office.
- Surveying, including measuring and tariffing
- Tree safety work
- Planting and establishment work
The ability to work in a team, and autonomously, is really important, delivering work to high quality and health and safety standards, practically and efficiently.

Where you’ll workWest England Forest District is responsible for the sustainable management of over 37,000ha of land in the west and south-west of England. From the ancient woodlands in the steep-valleys of Cornwall, to the majestic veteran oaks of Savernake Forest in Savernake; from the spruce plantations of the high moors of Dartmoor, to the Douglas Fir stands in the Welsh Marches, and with the stewardship of the historic Forest of Dean.
West England Forest District covers a vast range of habitat and woodland types.
This role is based at the Cook worthy Forest office, near Halwill.
