We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic vet to join our friendly team based at our Duns branch.

We get the best of both worlds being based in the beautiful rural Scottish Borders but within an hour’s drive of Edinburgh.

We are a mixed practice with excellent small animal facilities, having moved to new premises last year. Our modern diagnostic equipment includes new DR x-ray, dental x-ray and good quality ultrasound. We aim to provide a great first opinion service with clinical freedom to follow cases up.

Most of our vets work a 4.5 day week but there is potential for flexibility.

The role at the moment includes being part of our out-of-hours on call rota, with time in lieu for nights and weekends on call. Currently a 1 in 8 with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

Salary will be dependent upon experience, but the total package would include the benefits listed below.

The practice has a number of assistants enrolled in certificate programmes (with study time provided) to actively promote career progression.
