Are you an enthusiastic, organised, and collaborative individual with experience in ecology and agriculture?

Do you want to use your skills to lead the development and delivery of Wild Oxfordshire's exciting and innovative Agro Ecology Programme of partnerships and projects?

Agricultural land represents 74% of land in Oxfordshire and farmland plays a key role for many species. Our Agro Ecology Programme supports farmers and land managers working towards nature’s recovery by maintaining, restoring and creating vital habitats, and transitioning to more sustainable farming practices. You will be facilitating and developing new and existing landscape-scale partnerships; collaborating with stakeholders including farmers, landowners, charities, volunteer groups, communities, local government, businesses, and researchers to support landscape-scale nature recovery.

You will also be working with landowners and land managers to deliver ‘on-the-ground’ action for nature, including ecological surveys, management plans and advice, and habitat creation.

Wild Oxfordshireis a charity seeking to create a more natural, resilient, and biodiverse Oxfordshire for the benefit of all. We catalyse change by identifying needs, convening partnerships, and unlocking opportunities for nature recovery action. We collaborate with numerous individuals, communities and organisations, offering expertly curated and inspiring information, bespoke advice, and nature-based solutions.

Work location:This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of working in our beautiful rural office in Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire an average of two days per week (including Tuesdays) plus an additional two days within the project areas. Additionally, some evening and weekend work will be necessary to attend partnership events (an average of once per month). Ability to travel around Oxfordshire to visit organisations and sites outside of public transport networks is required.
