12 Month contract
Rates:
Negotiable (DOE)
Hours:
35 per week, worked across 4.5 days (between 7am–7pm)
The Opportunity
A major aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Quality Manager to join its team onsite at a key engine-manufacturing facility in Derby. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position supporting operational performance, supply chain robustness, and quality governance across a complex, fast-moving industrial environment.
This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked within large aerospace or engineering environments and thrives in stakeholder-rich settings where communication, problem-solving, and operational oversight are essential.
Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Management
Monitor supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, and operational commitments are met.
Conduct load and capacity assessments to identify constraints.
Lead rate readiness and industrial maturity reviews.
Manage supply chain intelligence and escalation when required.
Oversee transfer-of-work activities and industrialisation linked to design changes.
Quality Management
Drive correction activities including non-conformity eradication, concessions, SARI/QSR actions, and event management.
Implement preventative approaches such as APQP and Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (SQIP).
Support continuous improvement Management
Identify and assess operational and supply chain risks.
Build and execute mitigation plans.
Ensure effective governance and programme visibility.
What You’ll Bring
Strong background in aerospace, complex engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experience in practical problem-solving, recovery/crisis management, and data-driven reporting.
Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and quality principles.
Project management experience is beneficial.
