Role: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional to drive and coordinate key QA processes within the department. The successful candidate will promote a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring all measurement and evaluation activities are delivered accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively lead and coordinate defined QA processes and activities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Provide QA production support to shop floor quality control
Conduct and coordinate reverse engineering evaluations to agreed specifications and timescales
Perform physical measurement of products using Measuring Arm, CMM and OMM equipment
Weigh complete products and subcomponents to ensure accuracy across all product information platforms
Carry out production-based physical testing as required
Ensure all product evaluations are thoroughly documented and maintained
Create and maintain detailed evaluation and measurement reports & Review product drawings against required standards and specifications
Verify product fit with mating parts to ensure compliance
Conduct and coordinate CMM and OMM programmes to meet drawing specifications and deadlines
Obtain and review latest drawings, CAD/Pallet models and physical parts to support effective programming and updates
Validate measurement data and reports to ensure accuracy and integrity
Liaise with equipment suppliers and technical support to deliver new programme requirements and resolve issues
Coordinate sample selection, prioritise workload across departments, and provide technical guidance on digital measurement and QA matters
Skills & Requirements:
Team player with a humble, driven and people-smart approach
Strong planning and coordination skills, working effectively with supporting teams to achieve objectives
Ability to analyse processes, implement improvements, design/document new systems and train operatives in new methods
Competent in reading and interpreting product drawings
Experienced in all aspects of product measurement relevant to Polypipe products
Competent in conducting and accurately recording evaluations in line with applicable standards
Programmer-level proficiency in Measuring Arm, CMM and Optical Measuring Machines
Good working knowledge of Quality systems, CAD, coordinate systems, Microsoft 365 and IFS
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and self-motivate
Good understanding of Environment, Health & Safety requirements and quality test methods, promoting continuous improvement and a long-term quality culture
Working Hours & Benefits:
Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Early finish Friday! 08:30 - 15:00
