Senior Food Safety & Quality Manager FTC

As Senior Food Safety & Quality Manager, You Will
  • Lead and develop the Food Safety & Quality team, ensuring technical requirements are consistently met.
  • Support and deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
  • Drive compliance with customer, retailer, legal and third‑party standards.
  • Ensure successful customer and third‑party audits, maintaining excellent site audit performance.
  • Maintain and develop HACCP systems, food safety standards and site technical integrity.
  • Oversee product quality, traceability and internal auditing programmes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site and wider business.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to deliver quality improvements and technical KPIs.
  • Champion a strong food safety culture while coaching and developing team members.
Essential
  • Degree‑level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven quality management experience within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working with major retail customers.
  • Strong understanding of BRC Standards, HACCP, Food Legislation and Food Hygiene.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑focused approach.
Desirable
  • Training, coaching or project management experience.
  • Experience with in chilled food, high‑care or high‑risk manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced HACCP qualification.
  • Poultry processing or cooking knowledge.
