The RoleReporting to the Technical Manager the Quality Auditor is a highly motivated pro‑active skilled individual with food safety and quality at the heart of everything they do. They can optimise their daily routine of checking and assuring quality, authenticity, legality and safety standards across the site. This role is on our afternoon shift.
Shift Details:
Morning Shift Monday to Thursday 05.30 to 13.45 Fridays 05.30 to12.30
Key Responsibilities
- Check incoming raw materials and ingredients ensuring they meet our internal specification.
- Carry out sampling and testing of raw materials
- Ensuring that weight and temperature measuring equipment is properly calibrated and issues reporting to Technical manager without unreasonable delays.
- Performing regular routine audits on site in line with procedures and customer requirements.
- Reporting any non-conformance issues to Line Manager
- Ensure internal Non-conformances are investigated thoroughly and efficiently to ensure closure.
- Carry out certain process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
- Ensure that all raw material, work in progress and finished product are correctly stored, labelled and stock rotated, including checking in chills; and that all non-conformances are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Conduct customer complaint investigations when requested/required.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
- Level 3 HACCP (beneficial but not essential)
- Quality Auditing experience.
- Knowledge of fish products and production.
- Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
